Hiking and walking trails in and near Cagliari


  • Sella del Diavolo (Devil's Saddle): This is a popular rocky outcrop with scenic trails offering panoramic views of the Gulf of Cagliari. It separates Poetto Beach from Calamosca Beach.
  • Parco Naturale Molentargius Saline: This nature reserve is easily accessible from town, with paths you can explore on foot or by bike.
  • Bastion of Saint Remy: An emblematic place to walk and enjoy spectacular views of the city, especially at sunset.
  • Poetto Beach: While known as a beach, it's also a long stretch perfect for walks or runs and offers easy access to the nature park and the Devil's Saddle trailhead.
  • Cagliari Underground: For a different kind of exploration, you can tour the underground world of Cagliari through its caves, tunnels, and necropolises
